WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE TEMPLAR WRAPS?

Great question! Our answers will surprise and, hopefully reassure you:

• We're certified vinyl wrap installers with years of experience; when it comes to vehicle wraps, the only person you want going near your vehicle is an industry certified, professionally trained and highly experienced vehicle wrap installer; that's who we are!

• We are Professional wrap installers using techniques that have been acquired from formal training and years of experience.

• We know how to properly prep the vehicle’s surface for the wrap and take the time to do so.

• We work carefully and take the time necessary to ensure panels line up perfectly and that there aren’t any visible seams unless 100% necessary.

• We know exactly how far we can stretch the film before distortion or risking that it won’t stay stuck, and we know how to seal off edges to insure they don’t ever lift.

• We know how much heat the material can take before the shine of the overlaminate is marred or the panel gets burnt and we know how to properly post-heat the wrap once installed.

• We only use pre-cured vinyl which comes in a variety of solid colors (everything from ultra-metallic to matte) and textured films (such as carbon fiber or snake skin).

• We only use American made materials such as Avery Dennison Car Wraps and 3M which are considered to be the best films. There are a lot of replica vinyl films made overseas that are not of the same quality and do not perform to the same standards as Avery and 3M, even though they are advertised to do so; we don't use them!

• We know how to care for wraps and take the time to explain to each customer the do’s and don’t’s of wrap maintenance.

 

WILL WRAPPING DAMAGE THE VEHICLE?

Applying specialty vehicle wrapping film to your vehicle will not damage your paintwork. However If you already have stone chips, abrasions or rust patches on your paintwork it's important to remember that when the vinyl is removed it may pull loose paint off with it. But did you know? The film actually shields the paint against chips, abrasions and weathering to preserve your cars future value.

 

WILL THE WRAP DAMAGE MY PAINTWORK?

During the application process, the team of Templar Wraps application technicians are careful not to damage the paintwork of your car. The films that we use will not directly damage the car's paintwork, however you do need to ensure that your vehicle's paintwork is of a sound and OEM quality.

 

HOW LONG DOES A VEHICLE WRAP LAST?

A professionally applied vehicle wrap will last between 3 and 5 years, longer if you take care of it!

 

IS THE VEHICLE WRAP REMOVABLE?

Yes. The vehicle wrapping film we use is applied with high quality adhesives and can be removed within 5 years of the wrap being installed.

 

CAN I CHOOSE TO WRAP JUST PART OF MY VEHICLE?

Vehicle wrapping is most effective when the whole vehicle is covered in a complete design, but you can chose to wrap just part of the vehicle, such as the roof, hood, side panels or trunk. It’s common to wrap the air dams, spoilers, wings and bumpers; and we do a lot of stripes, accents and custom designs. We also do a lot of headlights, tail lights and accents.

 

DO I GET A WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE?

Guarantees of up to five years are available on our color change wraps, dependent on color and finish.

 

WHO DO I NEED TO ADVISE ABOUT MY VEHICLE BEING WRAPPED?

Insurance Company, It is important that you advise your insurance company that you have had your vehicle partially or fully wrapped. This way should you be in the unfortunate position of having an accident or need to file a claim with your insurance company they will be aware of the costs and materials that will need to be replaced.

 

RMV should only be contacted should the car be a permanent color change. As vehicle wraps are temporary there is no need to advise them of your wrap. But it's a good idea to check with them!

 

Police, as part of the police’s vehicle database, your car registration is linked to the make, model and color of your vehicle. If the police do a registration number check they may stop you and ask questions regarding the color. It is very easy to demonstrate that the vinyl is temporary and not the true color. Keep a copy of your Templar Wraps invoice in the glovebox!

 

Is my deposit refundable?

If you have booked a vehicle in and paid a deposit for wrapping, we are afraid we are unable to refund your deposit, because we use your deposit to purchase the wrap just for your vehicle.

 

Can I change my appointment date for wrapping?

If you have booked a time and paid a deposit, you can change your date for wrapping if you provide notice (via phone, or stopping by) at least 3 working days prior to your appointment date. We will do our best work with you, emergencies happen.

 

How do I wash the car once wrapped?

We recommend that you wash your car either by hand or using a low power jet wash. We advise against mechanical car washes, as the abrasive action can have a negative effect on the wrapping film. Always take care when using chemicals or detergents to clean your car.
